The Domaine International de Rouville is currently looking for a kitchen assistant for the Bistro du Golf de Rouville.
The kitchen helper's main responsibilities are to assist the cook or kitchen team in food preparation, dish assembly, and maintaining the cleanliness of work areas. Reporting to the Food Service Supervisor, they perform simple yet essential tasks that expedite and support the food production process. Their role directly contributes to kitchen efficiency and the quality of meals served to customers.
Workplace: Rouville Golf Course
Job type: Temporary (summer)
Schedule: Full-time, from 6am to 7:30pm. The employee may be required to work weekdays and weekends.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation and organization of work
- Performs basic preparations for certain dishes.
- Wash, peel and cut the fruits and vegetables.
- Cleans, cuts and minces meats, fish and seafood, if necessary.
- Weigh and prepare the ingredients required for the recipes.
Kitchen assistance/help
- Monitor the cooking of the dishes, according to the instructions of the kitchen staff.
- Assistance with assembling dishes or plates.
- Distributes supplies and food trays, if applicable.
- Place surplus food in containers and store food for preservation.
- Receives and stores kitchen products according to current standards.
Cleaning in the kitchen
- Cleans workstations, cabinets and accessories.
- Ensures hygiene and cleanliness of surfaces.
- Ensures the cleanliness of containers used for food storage.
- Can do the dishes, during and after service.
- Apply food hygiene and safety rules.
Perform all other related tasks.
