Dear Parents,
This guide contains the necessary information and camp rules to ensure a smooth stay at day camp during the summer of 2026. Please read it carefully and keep it handy throughout the summer, as it contains essential information for you and your child. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
1. PREPARING FOR YOUR STAY AT CAMP
1.1. Daily Kit
To make it easier for your child to carry their equipment, we strongly suggest using a backpack. Each day, your child should bring: snacks (morning and afternoon), a water bottle, lunch (individually wrapped and clearly labeled, ideally with an ice pack; a microwave will be available on site), sunscreen (minimum SPF 30, preferably water-resistant), a swimsuit and beach towel, a cap or hat, sportswear and sneakers, a raincoat and rain boots for rainy days, and warm clothing in case of need.
Important note: flip-flops and other shoes that do not stay securely on the feet are prohibited at all times.
If needed: Medication in the original container and including dosage details (notify the day camp leader and head leader)
1.2. Food Allergies
Due to common food allergies, foods containing nuts, peanuts, or products derived from them are prohibited.
It is important to explain to your child that they should not share their meals or snacks, in order to avoid possible allergic reactions in others.
1.3. Sunscreen
The instructors schedule several times throughout the day for sunscreen application. It is the child's responsibility to apply their own sunscreen.
Assistance can be provided if needed. If a child requires help applying sunscreen, we recommend spray-on sunscreen for contactless application.
Please apply sunscreen to your child at home before the start of the day.
1.4. Personal toys and electronic devices
Personal toys and electronic devices (phones, video games, iPods, etc.) are prohibited at camp. They must be left at home.
The facilitators will be authorized to confiscate these personal items and return them at the end of the day.
2. HOW THE CAMP WORKS
2.1. Registration
Subject to availability, it is possible to add a registration for a week of camp or for daycare services once summer has begun. The online registration site is open until one week before the start of camp. After this period, you must contact the head counselor to add a spot. Payment is required at the time of registration. To ensure we have your child's information upon arrival at camp, the deadline for day camp registration is 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday preceding the week of camp. For late registrations, please ensure you have your registration receipt with you upon arrival at the site.
2.2. Cost
Cost per week per child*: $185.00
Cost per week per child at the daycare (morning + evening): $30.00
* From two (2) children registered, a 10% discount will be automatically applied to your order (registrations must be made on the same order to obtain the discount)
** It is possible to add a week of camp and/or a daycare service during the season, depending on availability.
2.3. Start and end of camp
From June 29 to August 14, 2026. Please note that we will be open on July 1, 2026.
2.4. Camp Schedule
From Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
The morning childcare service takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and the evening childcare service takes place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
2.5. Arrival at the camp
It is important to escort your child back to the instructor inside the Maurice-Robillard room. The instructor will record their attendance. Please note that attendance is taken several times a day.
2.6. Departure from camp
It is important to sign the departure sheet when you come to pick up your child.
Only the people whose names appear on the child's health record may pick them up. If you need to add a fourth person authorized to pick up your child, please inform the head activity leader.
Identification may be requested at any time from the person who comes to pick up the child.
Children not registered for the daycare service must leave camp at 4:00 PM. If a child is more than 15 minutes late, they will be taken to the daycare service and the parent will be charged.
2.7. Absence, late arrival or early departure from camp
If you plan to drop off or pick up your child at unusual times (after 9:00 am or before 4:00 pm), we ask that you inform the camp staff in advance.
You can do this by calling the location your child attends or in person with your child's instructor. If your child will be absent, please let us know by leaving a message, calling, or in person. Instructor contact information will be provided at the beginning of the season.
3. OPERATION OF THE CHILDCARE SERVICE
The daycare service offers activities and free play that are suitable for all age groups.
3.1. Registration for the daycare service
Registration for the daycare service is mandatory to benefit from it. If you wish to add it during the season, you must contact the camp administration. It will be important to bring your receipt with you when your child arrives.
3.2. Daycare service schedule
7:30 to 9:00 for the morning daycare service and 16:00 to 17:30 for the evening daycare service.
3.3. Late departure from the daycare service
If the parent comes to pick up their child after 5pm, they will be fined.
The fine is applicable per family, not per child, according to the following price schedule:
• 15 minutes or less: $5
• 16 to 30 minutes: $10
• 31 to 45 minutes: $15
• 46 minutes and over: $20
3.4. Absence of childcare service
If your child is registered for the daycare service, but you are not using it for a given period, please notify the monitor.
4. HEALTH
At all times, staff keep the medical records of participants with them, including the telephone numbers of people to contact in case of emergency.
• Auto-injector: A child with an EpiPen-type auto-injector must carry it with them at all times, in a fanny pack-type bag attached to their waist.
• Minor incident: In the event of a minor incident, camp staff (trained in emergency first aid) provide first aid and inform you of the situation when you come to pick up your child.
• Major Incident: In the event of a major incident, camp staff will provide first aid and contact you or the emergency contact person identified on your child's health record. If the situation requires it, your child will be immediately taken to a clinic or hospital where they will remain under the supervision of a camp counselor until a parent or designated person arrives. The cost of ambulance transport, if applicable, is the responsibility of the parent.
Important: It is the parent's responsibility to transmit any new medical information that has occurred between the date the medical form was completed and the date the participant arrives at camp.
5. CODE OF CONDUCT - To be read with your child
To ensure the safety and well-being of the children and counselors at the day camp, the following rules must be respected at all times:
• Respect your friends and instructors to maintain a good mood
• Use good language and politeness to show kindness
• Listen to the instructions of the instructors and the supervisor to ensure an enjoyable experience.
• Walking to avoid injury
• Resolve conflicts with kind words
• Take care of the equipment loaned for playing all summer
• Notify us before leaving
• Leave toys and candy at home
• Throw the rubbish in the bin so the room stays nice
• Wash your hands with soap and water to protect others
• Participate for fun
• Have a wonderful summer!
6. DISCIPLINARY POLICY
During their stay, if your child repeatedly exhibits undesirable behavior despite interventions from their monitor, the following procedure will be applied:
• Verbal warning: The child meets with the camp leader to discuss ways to stop disruptive behavior.
• First written warning: first roadmap given to the child | meeting with the child and parent's signature
• 2nd written warning: second roadmap given to the child | meeting with the child, parent, and camp staff
• 3rd written warning: third roadmap given to the child | suspension from camp for a specified period (without refund)
• 4th written warning: fourth roadmap given to the child | permanent expulsion from camp (without refund).
Each action is evaluated individually. We reserve the right to impose a more severe sanction if it is justified.
7. LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED PROPERTY
The Domaine International de Rouville accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged property during activities. It is strongly advised not to bring valuables to camp.
If your child has lost any belongings, please check the lost and found list; it may be there! At the end of camp, all unclaimed items will be donated to a charity.
