The Domaine International de Rouville is currently looking for a cook for the brand new Marché de Rouville.

The cook at the Marché de Rouville is primarily responsible for preparing and managing the ready-to-eat counter products. Reporting to the grocery manager, they plan and prepare recipes for the ready-to-eat counter, including prepared meals, sandwiches, daily specials, and other food items offered to customers. They ensure that the products are of high quality, well-presented, and meet company standards.

Responsible for his workspace, he ensures proper food and inventory management to minimize waste and optimize product rotation. He also collaborates with other grocery store employees to ensure efficient operations, especially during peak periods. Through his organizational skills and attention to quality, he contributes to providing an appealing dining experience for customers while adhering to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.

Workplace: Marché de Rouville, at the Domaine International de Rouville

Job type: Temporary (summer)

Schedule: Part-time, between 20 and 35 hours per week depending on low or high season.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation and management of ready-to-eat meals

• Plans and prepares recipes for the ready-to-eat counter.

• Prepares various food products such as ready meals, sandwiches, salads and daily specials.

• Ensures that the products offered are of high quality, well presented and available to customers.

• Ensures the variety and appeal of the products offered at the counter.

• Ensures that recipes and preparation methods are followed.

Food and inventory management

• Ensures efficient food management to limit losses and waste.

• Rotates products and ensures compliance with expiration dates.

• Reports supply needs to the grocery store manager.

• Participates in monitoring inventories related to ready-to-eat meals.

Maintenance and hygiene

• Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment and work surfaces.

• Strictly adheres to hygiene, sanitation and food safety standards.

• Ensures that food is handled and stored according to established procedures.

• Contributes to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Collaboration with the team

• Works collaboratively with other grocery store employees to ensure the smooth running of operations.

• May receive help from other team members during preparation or during busy periods.

• Contributes to maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Performs and documents all required checks, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to scheduled frequencies.

• Ensures compliance with existing health and safety policies and adopts expected safe behaviors.
