Domaine International de Rouville is currently seeking the ideal candidate to fill the position of day camp leader for the summer season of 2026.

The day camp counselor's primary responsibility is to lead and supervise groups of children aged 5 to 12 in an outdoor day camp setting at the Domaine International de Rouville. Reporting to the Director of Recreation and Festivals, they collaborate in the organization, planning, and delivery of recreational, sports, and educational activities, while ensuring the safety, well-being, and a positive experience for the children.

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS

Available from June 29th to August 14th (with two weekends of training prior to this, dates to be determined)

From Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm (possibility of 9am to 4pm depending on the childcare service)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Animation and supervision

• Leads the daily activities of the day camp (games, sports, creative and outdoor activities).

• Guides and supervises a group of children, promoting their participation, enjoyment, and development.

• Adapts activities according to the age, abilities and needs of the children.

• Prepares, uses and puts away the equipment needed for the activities.

Safety and well-being

• Ensures the safety of children during activities on the campsite site.

• Ensures the physical and emotional well-being of the children under their care.

• Applies and enforces applicable regulations, policies and procedures.

• Responds appropriately to problematic or emergency situations and reports incidents according to established procedures.

Organization and collaboration

• Collaborates in the planning and organization of day camp activities.

• Actively participates in team meetings and mandatory training sessions.

• Works in collaboration with all recreation staff to ensure the smooth running of activities.

• Provides occasional support during other events, festivals or special camping activities.

Performs all other related tasks.
