FALL ACTIVITY IDEA: the Michel Jodoin cider house

Domaine International de Rouville

While the summer of 2023 has just ended at the campsite and is giving way to the beautiful colors of autumn, we wanted to offer you a superb autumn activity to do with the family, just 25 minutes from the Domaine International de Rouville and Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

The Daniel A. Séguin Garden brings together 24 thematic gardens just a stone's throw from downtown Sainte-Hyacinthe. About to end their 27th year of existence, no less than 4.5 hectares of green and colorful gardens await you for an unforgettable day for both young and old.

LOTS TO SEE

Among these thematic gardens, you will be able to see more than 3,000 annual plants that were produced by students from the Institut de Technologie Agroalimentaire du Québec (ITAQ). Some picnic areas are set up in the heart of the splendid flower beds, perfect for having a snack with your friends or family. It is good to know that the place can be rented for all kinds of events, such as a birthday or a wedding.

The Daniel A. Séguin Garden is recognized for its collection of annual plants and the evaluation and demonstration projects associated with it. This is also why the garden team chose Buenos Aires verbena as a floral emblem to represent them. It is a food plant for pollinators, easy to grow, delicate and robust. It is a simple and classic plant which, like the garden, knows how to adapt to all conditions.

A RANGE OF ACTIVITIES AND EXHIBITIONS IN OCTOBER

- The creatures of the road, work by Pépite & Josèphe, from June 17 to October 29

- Sound work by William Jourdain, from June 17 to October 29, 2023

A work generated from sound recordings captured at the Garden during the spring and modified several times, the sound installation by digital art artist William Jourdain is intended to be a harmonious and egalitarian creation between nature and human beings.

- Halloween Party: Beyond the Garden: mystery and witchcraft!

It's not just at the campsite that we celebrate Halloween early: the Garden celebrates Halloween every weekend in October by organizing, among other things, a Pokémen hunt for children and more. !
