Rouville Country Festival: the only one in Montérégie

Domaine International de Rouville

The Domaine international de Rouville invites country lovers to the Rouville Country Festival, back for its second edition.

Montérégie will vibrate to the tunes of country from August 31 to September 3 at the Domaine international de Rouville campsite in Saint-Jean-Baptiste. The owners of the venue, country music enthusiasts, launched the festival in 2019. This first edition lasted six days, but the COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world forced the organizers to wait four years before relaunching the ball.

After these years of forced cessation, the Rouville Country Festival is back. “We are expecting 7,000 festival-goers for this second edition. The objective is to make this only country festival in Montérégie an annual event,” explains Élodie Létourneau-Venne, in charge of communications for the event.

7,000 festival-goers expected

In 2019, there were 5,000 people through the doors of the festival over six days. This year, the festivities will last four days. “Six days was just too much for us. We prefer to have a shorter, condensed edition so people can get the most out of it over Labor Day weekend! », specified Ms. Létourneau-Venne.

Throughout the festival, in an atmosphere of line dancing, cowboy hats and cowboy boots, the music of Paul Daraîche, Véronique Labbé, Martin Deschamps, Sorrene de La Voix, Brigitte Boisjoli, Francis Degrandpré, Deluxe Rodeo, Matt Lang, as well as Annie Villeneuve, will punctuate one of the largest campsites in Quebec. Even the actor and host Mathieu Baron is expected to sing on stage for the very first time.

“We are so excited to welcome such talented artists! Rouville country is the perfect event to come and discover the area, enjoy the outdoors and appreciate the musical beauty of country with trippers like us,” proudly explains Isabelle Lacoste, deputy general director of the Corporation of development of the Domaine de Rouville.

Activities

In addition to being able to listen to country music, an illuminated path will be installed on the main path of the Domaine, where several local artisans will be brought together to showcase their products. Several food trucks will be present on the site throughout the duration of the festival.
