The Rouville Surf Club is a lifesaving club based in Quebec. It is recognized for its central role in the development and promotion of lifesaving in the Montreal, Quebec City, and Montérégie regions. Founded in 1988 by lifeguards from the Domaine International de Rouville and incorporated in 2015, the club now brings together approximately fifty passionate athletes.
More than twenty Club athletes have been part of the Canadian National Lifesaving Sport Team. This is a eloquent demonstration of the excellence and consistency of the training.
The Rouville Surf Club has distinguished itself several times on the national scene:
- Canadian Coastal Lifesaving Champions: 2016, 2018 and 2019
- Canadian Champions – Senior Women’s Category: 2017
The club benefits from exceptional support, combining international experience and local commitment, ensuring high-level sporting development for its members.
- Pierre Tabah, former club coach, now head coach of the Canadian national team.
- Marie-Hélène Paquette, club president, also head coach of the Quebec team and assistant coach of the Canadian national team.
- Marie-Charlotte Hamel, athlete and manager of the Quebec team.
- Nicholas Stacey, former athlete and lifesaving coordinator at the Quebec Lifesaving Society.
