Assistant to the Aquatic Coordinator

The Domaine International de Rouville is looking for an assistant to the aquatic coordinator to work at the Domaine International de Rouville.

The Domaine International de Rouville is a resort complex including a campground and a 27-hole golf course located near Mount Rougemont and Mount Saint-Hilaire, in the heart of the Monteregian landscape. Since 1960, this internationally renowned and popular tourist destination has offered water activities, camping stays, magnificent golf courses, and a performance hall.

Job description:

The Assistant Aquatic Coordinator assumes the tasks delegated by the Aquatic Coordinator, with the objective of overseeing all aquatic lifeguard activities at the beach and the water park located on the campground site in the Aquatic Coordinator's absence. Reporting to the Aquatic Coordinator, they ensure swimmer safety, compliance with aquatic standards, the quality of interventions, and the professional supervision of the lifeguard team. They are responsible for the cleanliness of the facilities, the application of regulations, the availability of safety equipment, and maintaining a safe environment for all users. Through their leadership, technical expertise, and strong sense of responsibility, they guarantee a safe, efficient service that meets the standards of the Lifesaving Society.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to his role as a lifeguard, the assistant may be asked to participate in the following tasks as needed and according to the aquatic coordinator's workload distribution.

Operations management and supervision

• Coordinates and monitors the daily work of the rescue team; controls attendance and behavior.

• Ensures the application of current regulations and compliance with the standards of the Lifesaving Society.

• Provides monitoring support as required by operational needs, breaks and replacements.

• Monitors the cleanliness of the facilities and checks the water quality.

• Compiles operational data (visitor numbers, water quality, filter maintenance, product usage).

• Writes incident reports or any other required reports.

• Performs any other related function deemed relevant.

• In the absence of the aquatic coordinator, he provides a watch.

• Supervises, guides and motivates the rescue team.

• Plans work schedules based on customer traffic, weather, and operational needs.

• Ensures the efficient distribution of daily tasks on the beach and at the water park.

• Participates in the training and integration of new team members.

• Ensures adequate staff presence according to required monitoring ratios.

Security and compliance

• Ensures that all aquatic activities comply with the safety rules and protocols established by the Lifesaving Society of Quebec.

• Ensures compliance with emergency procedures and safety instructions.

• Regularly inspects facilities, rescue equipment and swimming areas to ensure they are in good condition and comply with regulations.

• Completes the mandatory RBQ inspection checklists.

• Ensures the compilation of water quality data in the register.

• Monitors updates to regulations concerning water monitoring and quality.

• Writes incident reports and ensures necessary follow-up.

Security and customer service

• Provides professional and courteous customer service.

• Ensures the quality of services offered and the maintenance of a safe environment at all times.

• Ensures the supervision and safety of swimmers and intervenes in case of emergency according to protocols.

• Applies and enforces applicable aquatic standards and regulations.

• Follows the rescue intervention protocol established by management.

• Welcoming groups and day camps.

Performs all other related tasks.
